24. Winterthur Marathon

Start number

After registration you will receive a confirmation mail with your start number. Please take the confirmation to the start number issuing point. The issuing of start numbers takes place on the event weekend in the running center Reithalle. It is advisable to allow sufficient time for collection. The opening hours are:
Saturday 3 p.m – 6 p.m
Sunday 7 a.m – 11 a.m

 

Timing and ranking

Marathon, marathon relay, half marathon and 10 km run rankings are calculated based on net times (between crossing the start and finish line). With the 2.6 km run, 5 km run, children’s run and with the 10 km walking / nordic walking gross times apply (time between starting shot and crossing the finish line). Gross times apply as well for the first ten of each overall ranking (e.g. Marathon Men Overall, Marathon Women Overall).

Split times are taken at the handover zones of the marathon relay. For the marathon it is km 11.1, 16.5, 32.2 and 37.6. At the half marathon at km 11.1 and 16.5, at the 10 km run and 10 km walking / nordic walking at km 5.4.

 

Changing room and showers

Ladies’ changing rooms and showers are available at the Kantonsschule Büelrain (Rosenstrasse 1). Men’s changing rooms and showers are available at the BFS Berufsfachschule Winterthur (Tösstalstrasse 26).

 

Valuables deposit

Valuables can be handed in at the running center Reithalle. They must be collected by 3 p.m. at the latest on the day of the run.
Please leave clothes or gym bags in the designated checkrooms.

 

Medical / Massage

First aid stations are located at all refreshment points and at the running center Reithalle. The massage service is available at the running center Reithalle.

 

Insurance

Participants take part in the Winterthur Marathon at their own risk and with their own responsibility. The organizer assumes no responsibility for accident or illness. Insurance is the responsibility of the participants. Every participant must be insured against accident. The organizer disclaims all liability for accidents, claims and theft.

 

Distance control

Participants must comply with all the instructions given by the promoter and any event personnel, who will be clearly identified as such. Abbreviations and other unauthorized aids are not permitted. The Technical Management of the Organizing Committee reserves the right to enforce disqualifications.

 

Spectators and supporters

For spectators and supporters, a free shuttle bus is available. From the running center Reithalle there are regular buses to the Leisental (Handover 1) and to Sennhof (Handover 2). It is forbidden to accompany runners with a vehicle (including bicycles).
